The bands are the 13 dollar answer to what to pack when you have no space at all. The whole kit weighs under a pound and compresses to the size of a fist. I ran a 40 minute full-body circuit in a hotel room using just these and a doorway, which is the same test your studio will ask them to pass on a Tuesday when you do not feel like moving the coffee table. Four weeks of lateral walks, banded squats, pull-aparts, and glute bridges showed no cracking and no chalky wear. The latex beats the TPE stuff at the sporting goods checkout.

The honest catch is glute work. On bare skin the bands roll up your thighs, and even over leggings they migrate during lateral walks. It lets you load a walk, a stair climb, a step-up session, and a round of bodyweight circuits without buying a single plate or making a single impact-load noise. My 12 pound version went through four zone-2 runs, six hill walks, and eight circuit sessions without shifting or fraying. The elastic side straps pull the panels snug to your ribs so the mass moves with you. A studio lifter with dumbbells and a vest can turn a 15 minute staircase session into a real cardiovascular effort, and that extra layer of options is what earns the premium pick.

Two real caveats. The neoprene smells like a tire shop out of the bag, so plan to hang it outside or in a bathroom for two days before you wear it. I am not exaggerating. Whatever you do in the hour after training happens on the couch, and that is where compression socks earn their place. Hydration during a HIIT finisher in 400 square feet looks different than it does in a commercial gym. Skipping water between intervals is how a 30 minute session becomes a 20 minute session. Between sets of goblet squats, I want a straw. Apartment lifters still walk and still run. Most of what I did when my training space was tiny happened on sidewalks and a local track, because the room itself was too small for real cardio. Whatever shoe you own does a lot of work in that setup, and a serious daily trainer pays off across miles. If you are starting from zero and budgeting over 90 days, here is how I would stack this list.
