Terms of Use
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Welcome to Tikevo (tikevo.com), a persona-driven product review website (the "Site") operated by Tikevo, a corporation formed under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada ("Tikevo," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Tikevo governing your access to and use of the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
The Site is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are located in a jurisdiction subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR, you must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Site. By using the Site you represent that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
2. License to Access and Use the Site
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and view the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include any right to download (other than page caching), modify, reproduce, resell, or make any derivative or commercial use of the Site or its content. We may suspend or terminate this license at any time, for any reason, without notice.
3. Intellectual Property
All editorial content on the Site — including articles, reviews, rankings, photographs created by or for us, illustrations, graphics, logos, trademarks, layouts, and code — is © 2026 Tikevo and/or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "Tikevo" and the Tikevo logo are trademarks of Tikevo.
Product names, manufacturer images, and third-party brand marks that appear on the Site remain the property of their respective owners. Where such images or marks are used, they are used for editorial, illustrative, and nominative purposes (fair use / fair dealing) to identify the products we review and do not imply endorsement by or affiliation with the trademark owner unless expressly stated.
You may not scrape, harvest, data-mine, frame, mirror, republish, or systematically
copy any portion of the Site without our prior written permission. Automated access
(including bots, crawlers, and AI-training scrapers) is prohibited except by
well-behaved search-engine indexers that honor our robots.txt.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Site by automated means without our express written consent;
- interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its networks, including by distributing malware or conducting denial-of-service activities;
- attempt to probe, scan, reverse engineer, or circumvent any access controls, rate limits, paywalls, or security features;
- submit or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- use the Site to collect personal information about other users or to send unsolicited commercial communications;
- use the Site's content or outputs to train machine-learning or AI models without our express written permission.
5. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Links
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including affiliate links to merchants such as Amazon. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party websites, their content, their practices, or their terms. Product prices, availability, specifications, and promotions on merchant sites are set by those merchants and may change at any time without notice; any price or availability information shown on the Site reflects what was visible at the time of writing and should be verified on the merchant's site before purchase. Purchases you make through third-party merchants are governed solely by those merchants' terms and privacy policies. Please review our Affiliate Disclosure for more detail on our material connections with affiliate programs.
6. No Professional Advice
All content on the Site is provided for general editorial and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical, health, legal, financial, investment, tax, veterinary, or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on any information you read on the Site.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without representations, warranties, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that content will be accurate, complete, or current.
Ontario consumers: Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any mandatory consumer warranty, deemed condition, or statutory right you may have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, S.O. 2002, c. 30, Sch. A, or other applicable consumer-protection legislation. To the fullest extent permitted by such legislation, all other warranties are disclaimed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Tikevo, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) CAD $100 or (b) the total amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability for (i) gross negligence, (ii) fraud or willful misconduct, or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory minimums under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or comparable consumer-protection statutes where you reside.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tikevo and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or any right of a third party, or (d) any content you submit to or through the Site.
10. Copyright Complaints — Canadian Notice-and-Notice
Tikevo complies with the Notice-and-Notice regime under sections 41.25 to 41.27 of the Canadian Copyright Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may send us a written notice of claimed infringement that includes all of the following:
- the claimant's full legal name and address (and other contact information);
- identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to be infringed;
- the specific location (URL) of the alleged infringing material on the Site;
- the date and time of the alleged infringement (if relevant);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the identified use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate; and
- the claimant's physical or electronic signature.
Send notices to legal@tikevo.com. Incomplete notices may not be actionable under s. 41.25.
Tikevo is operated from Canada and is not a "service provider" within the meaning of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA); we are therefore not subject to the DMCA's safe-harbor or counter-notice procedures. As a courtesy, we will nonetheless review and respond to well-formed DMCA-style takedown requests on the same basis as Notice-and-Notice claims above.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Material changes will be highlighted where practicable. Your continued use of the Site after a revision becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the dispute resolution provision below, you and Tikevo submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario sitting in Toronto.
If you are a consumer resident outside Ontario, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence may continue to apply, and nothing in this section deprives you of rights you cannot waive under those laws.
13. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@tikevo.com with a written description of the issue and the relief you seek. We will attempt to resolve the matter in good faith within thirty (30) days. If the dispute is not resolved, either party may bring the matter before the courts of Ontario as set out above.
14. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms at any time, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Affiliate Disclosure and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tikevo with respect to the Site and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
